Personal Information Collection Summary

To provide the core features of this app and the Pro subscription service, we may collect the following personal information:

iOS:

Username/account information: None (no registration required; subscriptions are linked via your Apple ID)
Payment information: Handled by the Apple App Store; we never receive it
Device permissions: Camera, microphone, local network
Device identifiers: RevenueCat anonymous purchase receipts (containing no personally identifiable information)

Android:

Account information: Phone number, hashed password
Payment order information: Order ID and payment status returned by Alipay
Verification SMS: Sent via Tencent Cloud SMS, which transmits your phone number
Device permissions: Camera, microphone, local network
Device identifiers: Device ID (used to bind your account to your device)
Sensor information: Accelerometer, gyroscope (used to adapt video orientation while recording)
Membership information: Subscription status, expiry date, plan type
Anonymous activity statistics: A randomly generated anonymous identifier created locally, the app version, and app-open dates (used solely to count active users; never linked to any personally identifiable information)
Third-party SDK collection: For payment security purposes, the Alipay SDK may collect your device MAC address, installed app list, IMEI, IMSI, and hardware serial number (only when you initiate an Alipay payment)

Information we do NOT collect:

Your video content, scanned barcode data, location, contacts, address book, call logs, calendar, SMS messages, your phone number (except the number used for registration), or browsing history

Note: On Android we collect only the anonymous activity statistics disclosed above (a random identifier with no personally identifiable information); on iOS we collect no data at all. We do not collect any other device usage records.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

On iOS, no account registration is required to use any core feature. On Android, a Pro subscription requires registering an account with your phone number; we collect your phone number and hashed password for login verification and device binding.

2.2 Device permissions and sensors

Camera: Used to scan parcel barcodes and record video — the core function of this app. We access the camera only when you actively use the recording feature.

Microphone: Used to record audio together with video. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.

Local network: Used to back up videos to your computer over your local network. This feature is used only when you actively start a backup.

Sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope): Used to detect device rotation while recording so the video orientation is correct. This data is used only on your device and is never uploaded to any server.

2.3 Subscription and payment information

When you purchase PutPack Pro:

iOS: Payment is processed via Apple In-App Purchase (IAP). Your payment information is collected and managed by Apple; we have no access to it.
Android: Payment is supported via Google Play Billing or Alipay. Google Play payments are managed by Google; Alipay payments are processed by Alipay, and we receive only the order ID and payment status to confirm the transaction — never your bank account or other sensitive information. SMS verification codes on Android are sent via Tencent Cloud SMS.
We use RevenueCat as our subscription management provider. It receives only anonymous purchase receipts from the platform to verify your subscription status (whether subscribed, expiry date, plan type).
RevenueCat does not collect your name, email address, device identifiers, or any other personally identifiable information; it is used solely to verify and manage subscription validity.

2.4 Information we do NOT collect

We explicitly do not collect: your recorded videos, scanned barcode data, location, contacts, address book, call logs, calendar, SMS messages, your phone number (except the number used for registration), or browsing history. We also do not directly collect device identifiers such as IMEI or IMSI (the Alipay SDK may process them only in its payment security context). All your videos and scan records are stored only on your device. On iOS we collect no data at all; on Android we collect only fully anonymous activity statistics (a random anonymous identifier and app-open dates) used to count active users.

3. How We Use Information

3.1 To verify your Pro subscription status and provide the corresponding paid features.

3.2 To improve and optimize the app experience (based on anonymized usage statistics containing no personally identifiable information).

3.3 To respond to your support inquiries and feedback.

4. Information Storage

4.1 Your recorded videos and scan records are stored only on your device. We never upload your videos or scan records to any remote server.

4.2 The LAN backup feature transfers data over your local network only when you actively enable it and your phone and computer are on the same LAN. Your data never passes through our servers.

4.3 Android account information (phone number, hashed password) and order records are stored on our backend servers for login verification and order management. Subscription verification data (anonymous receipts) is stored via RevenueCat in accordance with RevenueCat's privacy policy. After account deletion, the relevant data is permanently deleted or anonymized within 30 days.

4.4 Uninstalling the app completely and irrecoverably removes all locally stored data from your device.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

5.1 We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

5.2 We share information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers: We use RevenueCat (subscription management) as a service provider; it receives only anonymous purchase receipts from the platform and never your personally identifiable information. On Android we also use Tencent Cloud SMS (verification code delivery) and Alipay (payment processing).
Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

6. Your Rights

6.1 You can manage the permissions requested by this app (camera, microphone, local network) at any time in your device settings.

6.2 You can delete any recorded video or scan record at any time within the app.

6.3 You can manage your Pro subscription at any time: iOS users via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; Android users via the Google Play Subscriptions page or in-app.

6.4 Uninstalling the app completely deletes all locally stored data from your device.

6.5 To request deletion of anonymous data related to subscription verification, contact us using the details below.

6.6 Account deletion

If you registered an Android account, you can request deletion in the app via Settings → Delete Account. You must enter your login password to verify your identity. Once submitted, we complete processing within 30 days: your phone number, hashed password, membership status, and all order records are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. On iOS there is no account system, so no deletion is needed.

7. Children's Privacy

7.1 This app is not directed at children under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.

7.2 If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 14, we will promptly take reasonable steps to delete it from our records.

8. Third-Party Services

All third-party SDKs integrated in this app are initialized only after you consent to this Privacy Policy. Before you tap "Agree", no SDK is started and no personal information is collected.

This app integrates the following third-party services, whose privacy practices are governed by their respective privacy policies:

9. Personalized Content Statement

This app does not provide personalized content recommendations or targeted push notifications. We never serve targeted content or advertising based on user profiles.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

This app does not use cookies, web beacons, scripts, or any other automatic data collection tools to track your behavior or collect personal information. This is a native mobile app with no embedded browser or web-view data collection mechanisms.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

11.1 We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page, and we will notify you in the app where appropriate.

11.2 Material changes will be communicated via an in-app dialog or notice before they take effect, and we will seek your consent where required by applicable law.
